William BROWN, Private. 32nd North Carolina Infantry, 2nd Company H.

Previously served at a Private in 2nd Company H, 12th Regiment, N. C. Troops (2nd Regiment, N. C. Volunteers). Transferred to this company on 22 July 1862. Present or accounted for until he was left behind as a nurse for the wounded at Gettysburg, PA and was captured on 5 July 1863. Imprisoned at Point Lookout Prison, MD on 21 Aug 1863. Released at Point Lookout Prison on 24 Feb 1864, after taking the Oath of Allegiance to the United States of America and joining the United States Army. Assigned to Company B, lst Regiment U.S. Vounteer Infantry.
