Born in Wilson County and was by occupation a farmer prior to enlisting in Wilson County on 17 Feb 1862, for the war, at age 40. DIED in hospital in Richmond, VA on 17 May 1862, of “icterus” at age 40.

Enlisted in Wilson County on 29 June 1861, for the war. DIED at camp near Union Mills, VA on 26 Feb 1862, of “typhoid fever.”
