Resided in Wilson County and enlisted in Craven County on 28 June 1861, for the war, at age 21. WOUNDED at Seven Pines, VA on 31 May 1862 and DIED at Wilson (undoubtably at the Confederate hospital located in Wilson) of wounds. DATE OF DEATH NOT REPORTED!
